Fears over NHS targets
Number 10 aide Michael Barber told MPs yesterday that the health service was "some way off" meeting a government target on accident and emergency waiting times.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Tony Blair is set to clash with Gordon Brown over suggestions that all hospitals could be granted foundation status within the lifetime of two parliaments.
