May facing axe?
Theresa May, the chairman of the Conservatives, is set to be ousted later this year as part of a wide-ranging "purge of the Portillistas", according to reports in today's press.
It emerged that May was not consulted on Iain Duncan Smith's decision to sack Mark Macgregor, the party's chief executive, last week.
A source close to the Tory leader told today's Telegraph: "Iain has been very unhappy with her for some time. They talk a lot but there is no trust."
Meanwhile, today's Times reports that Conservative Party modernisers are looking to Steven Norris, the Tory candidate for mayor of London, to lead their cause.
