Clarke wades into University row
Charles Clarke, the education secretary, has revealed that he supports moves by Bristol and Edinburgh universities to attract more young people from working class backgrounds.
In an interview with the FT he also said he would break a "cartel" whereby all universities charge the full £3000 top-up fee.
