Brown to run Bank from bunker

Gordon Brown would take control of the stock exchange and the Bank of England after a London terror attack, under new plans being considered by the Treasury.

According to the FT, the chancellor would assume these "unprecedented powers" in order to avoid economic meltdown in the event of a New York-style assault on financial institutions.
