Chancellor slams drugs giants
Gordon Brown uses an interview in today's Guardian to warn multinational drugs companies that they should recognise their responsibilities towards saving the lives of those suffering from HIV/Aids.
The chancellor says the world's biggest pharmaceutical firms cannot "stand outside the need for action here and nobody can claim special interests or special privileges when people are dying unnecessary deaths".
