UDA hands over arsenal
The Ulster Defence Association carried out its first act of disarming last night by turning over a stockpile of pipe-bombs.
In a pre-arranged deal with police, the UDA, which is the biggest loyalist terror group in Northern Ireland, dropped off 17 devices in a street where army bomb disposal experts later made them safe.
