MPs to hear Estuary airport proposal
A group of London architects will today present the case to MPs for a £6.5 billion Thames estuary airport.
The Thames Reach proposal, which would replace plans for a new airport at Cliffe in Kent, would initially be a Gatwick-size operation handling about 23 million passengers a year.
The option is intended to integrate with existing transport infrastructure and regenerate the Thames Gateway.
