BAE 'to take two thirds of carrier contract'

BAE Systems is set to win the lion's share of a £2.9 billion aircraft carrier contract, reports today's FT.

Having been forced to compete with French rivals Thales, the contract is now likely to be split between the two, but with BAE taking two thirds of the work.

The Ministry of Defence has been criticised for "bottling out" of a decision having conducted an expensive tendering process.
