New euro warning
Paul Barron, the UK president of engineering group Alstom, has told MPs that he will move half of his manufacturing operations to France or Germany unless Britain joins the euro.
He told MPs on the Commons Treasury select committee: "If you want hard facts, if we don't go in the euro, I will recommend that we move 50 per cent of our manufacturing out of the UK and we'll put it in France or Germany."
