Trade secretary Patricia Hewitt yesterday predicted there would be "huge advantages" to British membership of the European single currency.

Meanwhile, the Treasury select committee has invited members of the public to email in their views on the Euro.

In conjunction with ePolitix.com, the committee is encouraging members of the public to make submissions to its Euro inquiry - views can be emailed to Euro.inquiry@ePolitix.com, and will be passed on to the MPs.
