The new editor of the Sun, Rebekah Wade, is ready to cool the paper's relationship with Downing Street, according to today's Guardian.

One of her friends is quoted as saying: "She was a young Tory. Its not natural for her to be cosy with Labour."

The Mirror brands departing editor David Yelland as "Mr Toad". A spokesman for the paper says it wishes him "every success with his studies".
