Two BBC bosses have resigned over a row concerning the spending of licence-fee money on plans to create a digital online curriculum for schools.

Michael Stevenson, joint director of all factual and learning programmes at the BBC, left after being criticised by an internal inquiry.

Claire Riley, acting director of the digital curriculum project, has also resigned.
