Darling under fire over airport expansion
The consultation on airport expansion in the south east was branded "unfair and unlawful" yesterday.
A group of local authorities, as well as residents who fear their homes could be affected, went to the High Court to ask a judge to end the consultation process.
They claim that by not including possible expansion at Gatwick, transport secretary Alastair Darling acted in an unfair and perverse manner.
