Tories: Davis outlines plans to extend right to buy

A Conservative government will extend the right to buy from council tenants to a million housing association homes, David Davis pledged yesterday.

The shadow deputy prime minister also vowed to fight regional devolution "every inch of the way".

John Prescott last week told Labour's conference that the policy of allowing council tenants to buy in some areas is set to be axed.
