Striking teachers to lose more pay
Teachers who are planning a one day strike have been advised that they will lose more pay than other public sector workers because they have longer holidays.
According to the Local Government Association, under their contracts teachers work 195 days a year so they should lose one 195th of their annual salary for every day they strike.
