Over 200,000 people have pledged to join the Countryside Alliance's protest march in London this Sunday, the campaign group said yesterday.

Meanwhile, Ewan Cameron, chairman of the Countryside Agency, warned that next month's two day "urban summit" will fuel the belief in rural areas that ministers do not care about them.
