UVF steps up terror activity
Loyalist terror group the Ulster Volunteer Force is closer to returning to violence than at any time since ceasefire in 1994, warns the leader of its political wing.
David Ervine, Progressive Unionist Party chief, told the Times that the UVF is stepping up paramilitary activities in response to a perceived threat from the Provisional IRA.
