Cabinet secretary Sir Richard Wilson will appear before the public administration select committee next month, to explain why the Home Office refused to release documents concerning a phone call between then-home office minister Mike O'Brien and then-dome minister Peter Mandelson.

Mandelson was alleged to have rung to make enquiries about a passport application by the Hinduja brothers, sponsors of the attraction. He resigned as Northern Ireland secretary over the allegations, but was later found innocent.
