Last night's fire at Buckingham Palace led to the building being evacuated just hours before a second Golden Jubilee concert.

The minor blaze in the East Gallery was brought under control after 90 minutes and the palace confirmed that celebrations would continue as planned.

The Royal Family was not in residence during the fire which disrupted rehearsals for tonight's pop concert including names such as Phil Collins and Atomic Kitten.
