UK airports group, BAA, is set to announce that it is to take the lead role in the financial rescue of the troubled part-privatised National Air Traffic Services.

The government, which has a 49 per cent stake in NATS, has pledged to match private sector cash, the service is seeking fresh equity investment between £100 million and £130 million.
