International development secretary Clare Short is to visit Tanzania, it was announced yesterday.

Her visit comes as the row over the country's controversial purchase of a £28 million air traffic control system continues.

Tanzania has protested to Tony Blair over the high price of the system, supplied by BAe, which has been criticised by the World Bank.
