Prince Charles yesterday firmly set himself against the prime minister over the issue of GM crops.

In a speech in Germany, HRH criticised the current GM crop trials as a direct threat to organic producers.

His comments come just weeks after Tony Blair made a strong defence of crop science research and criticised irrational critics who stood in its way.
