Livingstone's bid for Labour faces hurdle
Labour's national executive committee has decided that London mayor Ken Livingstone would have to reapply to join the party before the selection procedures for selecting its candidate were disclosed to him. Livingstone has expressed an interest in becoming Labour's candidate at the elections in 2004, but only if he considers the selection process to be fair.
