Labour bid to block Ken's return
New proposals to be considered by Labour's National Executive Committee could stop London mayor, Ken Livingstone, returning to the party fold.
The rules would require the party's candidate to be chosen by this November, leaving little time for any peace deal between Livingstone and the party leadership.
Livingstone is today writing to senior London Labour figures urging them to back his bid to rejoin the party.
