Labour criticised over pre-election advertising

Publicity programmes worth nearly £100 million were approved by the government in the run-up to last year's general election, according to new figures.

The figures revealed on BBC's Panorama programme confirmed that the government is the UK's biggest purchaser of advertising on television, radio, newspapers and billboards.
