A YouGov poll for the Telegraph finds that as Tony Blair's fifth anniversary as prime minister approaches his personal standing with voters has been damaged by sleaze and spin rows.

In 1998, 77 per cent of voters regarded Blair as "honest and trustworthy", reports the newspaper, a figure that has dropped to 31 per cent.
