Labour on 'knife edge' in local polls, admits Blair
Tony Blair has admitted that Labour faces could lose control of some of the local councils it won in 1998 when the public cast their votes on May 2.
In a visit to key Tory target Birmingham, the prime minister said: "Some councils are on a knife edge. I hope we can keep control of them to ensure we have the ability to bring investment down to the local level."
