Local elections: On the campaign trail

The Express reports that the Conservatives will not be fielding a candidate in a ward of Oldham where a candidate for the British National Party is standing for the local council.
Local police are currently investigating claims of postal vote fraud in Oldham, after the number of people registering rose from 500 in 2000 to 6,500 this year.
