Lakshmi Mittal has been declared Britain's richest Asian - while his fortune fell from £1 billion to £900 million, only £125,000 of the decline can be attributed to his donation to the Labour Party. Sri and Gopi Hinduja, who hit the headlines following their financial support for the millennium dome, are in joint second place with a fortune of £800 million.
