PCC chair warns against hasty change
The new temporary chairman of the Press Complaints Commission has warned against any hasty change for the body in the face of severe criticism by newspaper editors.
Professor Robert Pinker, who replaces Lord Wakeham following the collapse of the energy company Enron, said: "There will always be those who argue that we should be more 'proactive' although that is, in my view, a path fraught with practical difficulty."
