Mercenary peace role attacked by Labour MP
A senior Labour backbencher has attacked Foreign Office plans to send mercenaries abroad on peacekeeping operations.
Andrew Mackinlay, a member of the Commons foreign affairs select committee, said the idea of giving mercenaries "a veneer of respectability" was "breathtaking in the extreme".
