Labour and Tories unite over BBC coverage
The BBC is facing calls from both Labour and the Tories to reconsider its plans to make changes in its political coverage.
Charles Clarke, the chairman of the Labour party, and David Davis, his Tory counterpart, signed a joint letter to the corporation which argued that any downgrading of political coverage would be a breach of the BBC's public service responsibilities.
