The body set up by the government to end the NHS postcode lottery has failed to improve the healthcare of patients, according to the drugs industry.

The Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry believes that the National Institute of Clinical Excellence has failed to stop regional differences occurring in the availability of NHS treatments.
