Clarke under pressure to agree truce with Livingstone
Labour is to decide soon whether to allow Ken Livingstone back into the party in time to allow him to stand as Labour's candidate for the 2004 mayoral election.
Despite strong pressure from unions and some senior Labour figures, Charles Clarke and Gordon Brown are said to be opposed to the move.
