Sickness costs UK bosses £23 billion

The CBI has criticised bosses and doctors for failings that contribute to a £23 billion sickness bill for British industry. The employers' organisation called for a greater role for the private sector in the health service, private health insurance and charging. A report published on Sunday also criticises bosses for a failure to mange sickness absence properly.
