Ken Livingstone has sacked Steven Norris from his transport authority, claiming that the former Tory minister had launched "gratuitous attacks" on his policies.

The London mayor also said that Norris's non-executive roles with transport firms created conflicts of interest.

"Ken obviously can't take the criticism," said the former Conservative mayoral candidate.
