Treasury to launch pro PPP campaign
Amid mounting concern that the government is losing the argument over public private partnerships, today's Financial Times reports that the Treasury is to launch a big drive to the benefits of privately financed hospitals, schools, roads and prisons to the public.
The decision to promote PPP's comes after a warning from Robert Osborne, group director of Amey - a leading PFI contractor - that if the government and industry did not make the case for PPPs better, "I can imagine the forces against us prevailing."
