Labour MPs call for NATS buyback
Labour backbenchers have called on the government to bring the National Air Traffic Control Services back into public hands after it emerged the recently-privatised body was facing a cash crisis.
The call was headed by the Labour MP Martin Salter who said the public-private partnership was "fundamentally flawed" and should be scrapped in favour of creating a state-owned not-for-profit trust similar to that being proposed for the body which will replace Railtrack.
