Real IRA suspects receieved cash from Osama bin Laden's European financial chief, according to a report in the European press yesterday.

Spain's El Mundo newspaper alleges that the three Real IRA suspects were given a large sum of money to be deposited in Spain, laundered through a fake islamic charity in Dublin.

If true, the report links extreme Irish nationalism with the events of September 11 for the first time.
