A series of pipe bomb attacks in Northern Ireland have led to fears that the ceasefires being observed by loyalist paramilitaries could be moving towards collapse.

Northern Ireland secretary Dr John Reid declined to comment on the ceasefires.

Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams has broken his silence on the arrest of three Irish men in Colombia, saying "with certainty" that the men had not been representing his party.
