The Guardian reports today that DTI is to investigate its latest allegations into of involvement by British American Tobacco in global cigarette smuggling.

Following up yesterday's story that a Swiss subsidiary of BAT is the hub of a global trade in smuggled cigarettes, the paper quotes a DTI spokesman who said "any information passed to us will be given careful consideration".
