Straw orders G8 policing probe
Jack Straw has agreed to probe claims that Italian Police beat and tortured protesters during the G8 summit in Genoa.
As battered and bruised protesters returned home yesterday, the foreign secretary bowed to pressure saying he would order a full investigation into the claims of police brutality.
One protester likened the police's actions to Chile under the former dictator General Pinochet.
