The former Labour leader, Neil Kinnock, is today calling for a new tax to deliver ring-fenced cash for the NHS. In a rare foray into domestic policy, Kinnock, interviewed in The Guardian, claims that a gradual slide towards private provision will continue unless the government finds new ways of raising cash for the NHS.
