Labour's final election leaflet contains ringing endorsements from Eastenders' actors and football managers.

Focusing on Wednesday's soap and sport TV offerings, one side of the leaflet has actor, Michelle Collins, saying "tonight I'll be watching the soaps" and the other Sunderland manager, Peter Reid, saying "tonight I'll be watching the match". But when the leaflet is opened the pair are shown together under the legend, "tomorrow, we'll both be voting Labour".

More than 150,000 leaflets with personalised messages from actors of the calibre of Ross Kemp and Anthony Head, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, have been sent to voters in marginals.

But its not all glowing soap tributes - the Sun reveals that Hollyoaks star Terri Dwyer, used to urge young voters out of poll apathy in Labour's election broadcast on Tuesday night, will not be voting herself as she is too busy.

"I have never been able to vote," she said.
