Tony Blair will today put a £25 billion price tag on Tory tax cuts.

Blair is to launch a Millbank dossier with a detailed analysis of the Tory manifesto.

Writing in the Sun, he says: "the cuts a Tory government would have to bring in are even bigger than the £20 billion already planned by shadow chief secretary Oliver Letwin."

"On top of the £20 billion cuts, they've made other spending commitments of between £4 billion and £5 billion which they simply cannot pay for. What's more, where they claim to be making £8 billion of savings, the specific changes they identify as savings will actually cost £100 million," he argues.
