Blow for anti-hunting lobby in Scotland

A report from the Scottish Parliament's rural development committee that recommended the dropping of a bill banning hunting is to be the focus of a constitutional clash between the committee and MSPs.

The pro-hunting lobby's celebrations at the "verdict" were cut short as Labour and SNP MSPs vowed to fight on to ensure the ban reaches the statute book, even though the rural development committee has found that the bill is "not competent".
