National Trust to set up 'university of agriculture'
The National Trust will seek government cash to set up a "university of agriculture" to teach young farmers how to care for the British landscape.
The Trust, which is the country's largest landowner, wants to offer young people "careerships" on the land, develop a National Trust food label and to open its farms to the public - providing a chance for every child to visit every year and opportunities for older teenagers to work on conservation projects.
