Mandelson wants less spin
Peter Mandelson is calling on the Labour Party to rely less on spin in the coming election and aim instead to win the voters over with the party's vision and values.
Writing in the Independent today, the man who is credited with creating "spin", states that the party must lift its sights and map out a new agenda for a second term "not simply rely on well worn methods of campaigning".
Gordon Brown is reported to be angry over stories reigniting the leadership deal question - which he attributes to "friends" of Mandelson.
