End of the line for Prezza?

John Prescott is set to become the biggest loser in a post-election cabinet reshuffle, the Sun claims today.

The paper suggests he will be shunted sideways to the Cabinet Office as a result of his failure to effectively tackle Britain's rail chaos. It claims he will be replaced at the DETR by Jack Straw whose Home Office brief is set to go to education and employment secretary David Blunkett.

Stephen Byers is predicted to be heading for a revamped DfEE, with his trade portfolio to go to Lord Macdonald of Tradeston, the ex-businessman and current transport minister.

It is also claimed that Lord Irvine of Lairg is set for the chop, along with Ann Taylor and Chris Smith. On the rise will be Baroness Symons, Patricia Hewitt, Estelle Morris and Tessa Jowell.

The foreign secretary, Robin Cook, is "going nowhere" according to Trevor Kavanagh.
