Livingstone launches computer recycling campaign

The AccessIT! project was launched by Ken Livingstone yesterday when he donated his own computer from the Mayoral campaign.

The project, organised by Tools for Schools, aims to donate a computer for every school desk and has support from the Guardian and the London First business consortium. Currently, 500 schools have been supplied with recycled computers from companies that are upgrading their systems. The aim is to provide 100,000 computers over the next three years.
